Hey there!

Ok so I haven't posted in a very long time but I will be posting very soon! Between exams and work I have been too busy to even just paint my nails. I did something to them last night so I hope to have the post up soon, when I find the time.
Patience! :)
xoxo Merry Christmas!

I'm dreaming of a white Chrstmas...

Hey there!
Last night I got home at around 10:30 pm from a very long day at both jobs (whew), and I was just done. So I hung out with my roommate Laura for a bit, watched a show called Revenge, and did some nails! I really want there to be snow right now so I figured a little snowman would help me get into the spirit of Christmas :) Hope you enjoy!

Also please excuse my cuticles, they look pretty rough right now.

Surprisingly my right hand turned out better than my left. Who knew? LOL.

Close up of the little guy, my cuticles got destroyed at work. Sorry about that guys!

Polishes used:
  • Revlon Scented - Gumdrop Lilac
  • Wet n Wild Wild Creme - French White Creme
  • Kiss Nail Art Paint - Black
  • Rimmel London Pro Wear - Stiletto Red
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

So that's it for today, exam time is coming up soon so I don't know when my next post will be. I hope it's soon!

Body Shop?

Hey guys!
As promised, I finally did a new design. I would have posted yesterday but I have been swamped with work all weekend. So for today I decided to do a set of Body Shop nails, since I have been there for what seems the entire weekend LOL. So hope you like them, I'm not the best at lettering but I'm working at it :)

Left hand, with the newer Body Shop logo

Right hand, little shaky (since I'm right handed)

Both hands together

Polishes I used today:
Kiss Nail Art Paint - Black
Wet n Wild Wild Creme - French White Creme
Seche Vite Top Coat
L.A. Colors Color Craze - Shade 22

For the green lettering on my nails, I mixed a tiny amount of black to the green polish, just to slightly darken it. I used a top coat between the white and the green lettering so it would dry a bit faster.

I had two customers today notice them and comment on my dedication to the brand. It made me pretty happy actually :)

Anyway, that's it for now. I have some plans for my next post so I'm hoping maybe tomorrow night I will have it ready to post.

See you soon errrrrbody!

P.s. thanks to Martin for the idea!

What shall I do today?

Here is my on going design to-do list. Let me know if you want me to add something!
  • Comic book Nails
  • Owl Nails
  • Fruit Nails
  • Space Nails
  • Tribal Nails
  • Corporate Logos
  • Gift Nails
  • Flag Nails
  • Barcode Nails
  • Charlie Brown Nails
Much more to come, as I do a design I will cross it of the list. Please send me your requests! :p

Past designs already on Facebook

Thought I would bring all of my photos on Facebook over to here so you all can see what I have done already. These photos are horrible quality since they are from my phone and uploaded straight to Facebook. From now on I will be using an actual camera as well as using the proper lighting so you can see the colours how they are meant to be seen :) I probably won't be doing any new designs until this coming weekend since I have a large essay and an assignment due on Friday, but I promise something cool soon. I'm going to try and make it a tutorial too so you can try it yourself! :)
Also please note that some of these designs are not done very neatly, I am getting better every time I do a design so soon I hope to have perfect execution on all of my designs.

Here are some past designs:
Marbled nails and newsprint nails. The left side is on myself and the right is on my friend L.Z.
Clockwise from top left: Free-hand black and white lines over a pastel blue glitter, Flower stamp over dark grey, Pastel blue glitter & Fishnet stamp over pink and glitter on L.Z.
Clockwise from top left: Zebra stamp over white, Leopard stamp over hot pink, Star stamp over teal & Zebra stamp over purple on M.B.
Clockwise from top left: Magnetic polish, free hand leopard over a shimmery pink, Rumba romance with silver star on the thumb & Zebra stamp over hot pink
Clockwise from top left: Free hand mustaches over pink for Movember, Hot pink yellow and blue for Trippy Nails, Red and black over white for the free hand Poppy & Purple yellow green blue and pink with black lines for the Colour Block.

For the most part I will tell you what kind of nail polish I use but for this post there is simply too many. Also most manicures are done on myself but if I do it on a friend I'll put their initials.

Hola!

Hey guys!
For my first post I thought I should start out simple and just talk for this one. Nails have become an obsession lately, and instead of filling everyone’s Facebook walls I decided to make this blog.
As of right now, I do fairly simple designs, but my goal is to expand my skill level and leave my comfort zone. As much as possible I want to show you how I do my nails for each design, as a lot of my friends have asked how I do it. I don’t think I can post daily, or even every other day since I have school and two jobs to worry about first. Currently I am working as housekeeping at The Swiss Hotel (which wrecks my hands and nails – yikes!) and also at The Body Shop as a sales associate. The Body Shop is a fantastic place to work and if any of you want to know more about the products, the company, promotions & sales, etc., let me know and I would be happy to share with you! I'm also always up for any suggestions, requests or tips about nails, so don’t hesitate to contact me!

Thanks guys! Lots of love.

PS. I'm going to make an ongoing to-do list so you can see what I may do next.
